THE HOUSE ON MAPLE STREET

The house on maple Street

As Allie walks past ,the house starts to shake and rumble. As she steps back the house starts to lift and start to fly.

It all started when Allie and her friends were daring each other to do scary things although Allie got the worst dare, to walk down Maple street. The weirdest street in the town, maybe in the country. Why was it the weirdest street you may ask, well lots of weird unusual people lived on that street and the weirdest, freakiest, king of weirdos Rupert Sweenykins lived there right in the middle. He has lived there for 50 years people say.

Anyway as Allie walks past, the house starts to shake and rumble. As she steps back  Rupert Sweenykins house starts to lift and start to fly .

She can hear it lift off the ground completely as she runs away. Part of her wants to stay and watch it disappear into the clouds but part of her doesn’t because it dangerous and she doesn’t know what will happen. She runs all the way to the police station and explains what she saw but of course they don’t believe her, it’s just an adult thing. Even Allies Mum doesn’t believe her. She starts to pack everything that can fit into her one suitcase her teddy, most of her clothes, some snacks, some pillows and blankets and finally her wallet just in case she runs out of food.

2 DAYS LATER

 Allie hungry, cold and tired she wishes she could just go home but no she’s never going back where everyone thinks she gone mad and no one believes her. Suddenly she hears a toot a car toot but that's impossible she nowhere near a road or town. Then she looks up in the cloudless sky expecting it to be a plane she sees a flying house Rupert Sweenykins house. Allie can’t believe her eyes the house is still flying it’s impossible and amazing. As the house lands Rupert comes out and greets her. He welcomes her inside with a warm greeting. Rupert makes Allie a cup of tea. While she sipping her cup she explains when she saw take off, when she told the police, when she ran away everything.. “I’m not crazy i’m just very creative. But I still don’t get why you ran away from your loved one?” Rupert told Allie “They all think I’m mad even my mum thinks so” replied Allie who was now in tears “ why don’t you come with me in the flying house” Offered Rupert stroking his wizard-like beard “sure why not. But can I ask you something” Allie said WHy did you fly away in your house?” “ oh, well that my sweet is another story…
